Description
A&D HP-30K HIGH-CAPACITY MULTI-FUNCTION SCALE, 0.1G - 31,000G, 00 RETAIL!A&D Weighing is world renown for their ultra-precision scales and their superior quality. Normally, you’d find this scale in a university lab environment that requires the kind of ridiculous precision necessary for analytical papers. Yes, you can get a precise digital scale for very little but what’s precision without range? We’ve thoroughly tested this scale by weighing everything from a pair of corn kernels to a 30 pound barbell but that doesn’t even cover the full range. Using this scale, you could weigh anything from 4 grains of rice to a 68 pound lead weight and your results would be super accurate. Okay, so unless you have OCD, you’re not counting out grains of rice and weighing them but say you own a legal-ish dispensary? Using this scale, you could provide mind-blowing accuracy to your customers for everything from grams to kilos. Not that you even have to use those measurements, you could weigh out your products in Carats as a neat gimmick to distinguish your dispensary from your competition. But why even limit yourself to Carats, this scale has twelve different units of measurement: Grams, Kilograms, Ounces, Pounds, Pound/Ounce, Troy Ounces, Pennyweight, Carats, Taels, Tolas, Mommes & Messghals. Yes, we had to look up some of those measurements we’ve never heard of too, so don’t feel bad if you’re not familiar with them.
You’re probably thinking that if this is a scientific scale, it’s going to be capricious and difficult to operate. Actually, it’s really simple to use, just press on, select your unit and anchors a-weigh (well, don’t use actual anchors, unless they’re under 68 pounds). Even the various modes and adjustments are easy to get into and out of. The included manual shows simple, visual flow-charts with well-written instructions on how to adjust and calibrate just about anything.
When we acquired this unit, it was missing a weighing pan so we ordered a brand new one and yes, it’s stainless steel. This scale also has an IP-65 rating, which means it’s protected against wet and dusty environments. All images in this listing are of the actual product described.
