  • Condition: This small box is made from a lightweight cardboard (about the weight of an old matchbook) which dates to the early 20th century, and it shows wear around the edges and some surface areas. Both flaps are intact, but one is partially torn. Please look closely at photographs and enlarge for condition details.

    Description

    Barnum's Animals small lightweight cardboard box, 1 by 2 by 3 inches, for National Biscuit Company - "Uneeda Bakers" This could be a sample box or a "block" that went in toy trucks at the time. Box looks like a circus wagon or car. Has an Asiatic Camel, American Elk, Elephant, and Rhinoceros on one side; Tiger, Lion, Polar Bear, and Bison on the other. Top has 3 monkeys jumping rope on it. Bottom advertises company. Ends have company logo. Appears to be from the early 20th century.  Please read condition description above and look closely at photographs. Non-smoking home.
