Here is a
good used Armstrong No. 4K lathe self-centering knurling tool.
This is a LARGE holder so see the dimensions to make sure it will fit your lantern tool post or lathe post.
It works great, is in good shape with a little wear on the knurls.  It has "diamond" pattern knurls in it, not sure if they are coarse 14 pitch, medium 21 pitch knurls or fine 33 pitch knurls.
It looks like this has the 1" diameter knurls in it.  These holders can use 5/8", 3/4" or 1" diameter knurls.  They show a little wear from use.   Knurls are replaceable.  See the Armstrong catalog No. THB-49 which is available online for more information.    The overall length  of this holder is 9"  long.  The shank is 6" long x 1-3/4" high x .850" wide.   Nice heavy duty USA made knurler for those bigger lathes 18" and up if you have the holder that accepts this size.  It had been sprayed with corrosion inhibitor for being stored in a Lista cabinet.  You can remove the coating with WD-40, mineral spirits or any petroleum based solvent, its wipes right off easily.
