    Description

    H&H OVERSTOCK
National Scientific PES Target Syringe Filter, 0.2µm Pore Size, 17mm Outside Diameter (Case of 100)
    7 membrane types
Female Luer-Lock inlet, male Luer-slip outlet
    Solvent resistant polypropylene housings
PES, GMF, Polypropylene and Cellulose Acetate membranes are certified for Ion Chromatography
The polypropylene housings with all Target syringe filters are solvent resistant and exhibit low extractables. Ideal for filtering chromatography solvents and samples when combined with low extractable Nylon, Regenerated Cellulose or PTFE membranes. Meets the requirements of 21 CFR 177.1520. All types are supplied in packs of 100. Cellulose Acetate (CA) is a very low protein binding membrane ideal for aqueous based samples. An excellent choice for maximum protein recovery in filtrate. Laboratory studies show that CA membranes bind less protein than PVDF or Polysulfone membranes. When used with a glass prefilter, CA is ideal for tissue culture media filtration and sensitive biological samples. The prefilter increases yield. Cellulose Acetate is certified for Ion Chromatography. Regenerated Cellulose (RC) is a hydrophilic, solvent resistant, low protein binding membrane. It is the membrane of choice for low non-specific binding (biological analysis, protein, peptides). Suitable for removing particulates from HPLC samples prior to injection. Compatible with all HPLC solvents and aqueous samples in the 3 to 12 pH range. Used for particle removal and degassing of solvents. Extractables with water are less than 1%. Glass MicroFiber (GMF) membranes are commonly used as prefilters to remove large particulates and to extend the load capacity of the membrane. Membrane of choice for dissolution testing. GMF is certified for Ion Chromatography. Nylon (NY) membranes are naturally hydrophilic, solvent resistant, do not require pre-wetting and have low extractables. Can withstand solution up to 50°C. Can be used with organic or aqueous solutions. Flow rate is excellent. Not recommended for strong acids or bases. Commonly used for general laboratory filtration. Nylon binds protein and is not recommended when high protein recovery is needed. Available with glass prefilter. Polypropylene (PP) is a hydrophilic material that exhibits a wide range of chemical compatibility to organic solvents. A good choice for HPLC sample filtration when performing chromatography analysis. Highly solvent resistant. Low, non-specific absorbing membranes for maximum protein recovery. Well-suited for biological sample filtration. Also available with 1.0 µm built-in glass prefilter. Polypropylene is certified for Ion Chromatography. Polytetrafluoroethylene ( PTFE) is a hydrophobic membrane chemically resistant to all solvents, acids and bases. Membrane has high mechanical strength and can withstand high temperature liquids. Does not impart any extractables to the filtrate. PTFE blocks water vapor, making it ideal for transducer protectors. Also excellent for filtering and degassing organic and highly basic mobile phase solutions for liquid chromatography. Available with glass prefilter. Polyethersulsulfone (PES) is a naturally hydrophilic membrane that gives higher flow rates, lower extractables and low binding of protein and nucleic acids and can be used with high temperature liquids. PES is mechanically strong and resistant to a broad range of aqueous solvents. PES is the filter of choice for for tissue culture work. PES is certified for Ion Chromatography. Polyvinylidene Difluoride (PVDF) is a hydrophilic, solvent resistant membrane that exhibits low levels of UV adsorbing extractables. Low non-specific adsorbing membrane for maximum protein recovery in critical analysis. Also well suited for biological sample filtration.
