    Upon inspection of the device,
    I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches that happen with normal use.
    All ports and connectors are in good cosmetic condition.
    There are heavy scratches on the glass enclosure.
    There are some scratches on the display.
    There are some hard to clean places like the cracks in between the glass sliding pieces.
    I was able to power on the device with an in-house 12V DC power adapter (not included).
    Once powered on, the display shows "ERROR 8.4".
    From the manual this means the device is over the weight limit on the scale, but this error is showing up when nothing is on the scale. I was able to remove the plate and the error still remains.
    I attempted to reset the device using the controls and methods but I was unable to get past the error screen. I was able to do a regular basic reset but this did not fix anything.
    No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources.
    The device is sold as is for parts, repair, or as a non-working item.
