Sunshine Biscuits Tin: Probably from 1960's when Sunshine acquired its first TrademarkThis tin is from my family home, so I know that the wear is real. My father was using it for a tool storage box when we found it and "rescued" it in the late 60's or early 70's. We have found only one square yellow Sunshine tin, and that one does not include the Spanish description as far as we can tell. Sunshine Bakeries started in 1902 but did not file their trade mark until much later in 1966. The Thousand Window Bakery Building was the largest bakery in the world when it was built in 1908 by Sunshine Bakeries.
Notice the "happy little bakers" on either side of the logo on all four corners of the tin. The damage on it is due to being stored in the garage. The colors are still bright, and there are no breaks in the tin or in the seams. As you can see, the inside and the bottom are rusty, but the lid is still tight though slightly "bowed out" on one side. We did not try to clean it other than wipe the dust off. It measures 6 1/2" tall and is 8" square. Please enlarge and check the photos; they are part of the description.
