Offered to you is this large modernistic round lug handled lid cover for ceramic vegetable serving dish/serveware in Excellent Condition. This goes on the vegetable/casserole baking bowl made by Taylor Smith & Taylor Company for their Versatile line in the BLUE BONNET pattern of turquoise blue flowers with dark black centers and black and gray leaves.  Hollow ware was produced in both the Versatile and Ever Yours shapes. This is the Versatile shape designed by John Gilkes with turned up modern lug/tab handles and turned down handles on the bottom bowl. Great find for anyone who has only the casserole bowl without the cover

Rare Mid-Century (1950's) pattern often confused with the blue Taylor Smith Taylor "Boutonniere" pattern which has blue carnations with pink centers. This has turquoise blue flowers with dark black centers and black and gray leaves which resembles a rare carnation bonsai for indoor called dianthus carophyllus which can be ordered for potting in a home garden. This lid measures 9" across when it sits on the rim top of the bowl. The inside diameter of the bowl would be 8 1/2" to accept the larger top which is 9" across. The handles add 3" more making the length of the whole top 12" and width 9 1/4" to the outer bulge of the piece.  The bowl would hold 2 quarts. This cover is in excellent condition with just a teeny pinpoint black speck made in manufacture, and a couple of tiny minor scrape spots on the underside inside rim that occurred when it sat on its original bowl and do not show when in use.  I do not have the bowl. No nicks, chips or cracks. I try to describe my items accuratelly and offer refunds but only if I grossly misrepresent an item.
