Vintage Christian Becker Scientific Apothecary Scale Northeastern University

Description

Vintage Christian Becker "Chainomatic" scientific balance scale.  It has a plaque on the inside indicating that it was owned by the Northeastern University Chemistry Department.
Measures about 19.5" tall and the base is about 18.25" x 8.75".  It is not currently set up properly, and I don't know how to operate it, so I am selling it as is for parts/repair.  The chain from the "Chainomatic" device is not attached to anything, and the string for the door tensioner is frayed, tangled underneath and not routed through properly to the door.  It appears to be missing a knob on one side, and it may be missing more but I don't know what it is supposed to have.  What is pictured is what is included.  Condition is as seen in photos.  Scratches, soiling, rust spots, discoloration, and other vintage wear.  Please take a look and feel free to ask any questions.  Thanks!!!
