Vintage National Biscuit Co Nabisco Bakers Original Carboard Counter Display Box

Antique National Biscuit Co Nabisco Bakery Counter Display Box. Extremely old store bread box display. This appears to be all original and you usually do not find them in this great of condition. Most of the time very rusted and missing the glass and the cardboard is all chewed up. The top cover shows the most wear on this one. Please see all photos and ask any questions necessary before buying. The odds of finding another store display bread box similar to this in this greatest shape are almost impossible.
These display boxes with the metal lids/Doors were in a display rack usually 6-12 depending on the size of the rack that held them. Customers would use scoops to take the crackers or cookies and put them in a brown paper bag. They were sold by the pound. These were sold this way from 1900 to around 1950. This metal lid is evidently from another company that copied what National Biscuit Company did. The lid that would have come with this box would have had the National Biscuit Company name on it.
The National Buiscuit Carboard is in very good condition for its age.
It measures 11 inches x 11 inches x 8 inches with the top on.
